Competencies serve a foundation of coaching supervision and certification of members of professional bodies and accreditation of coach training programs. Introduction of competencies into the Standard is intended to make professional standard clearer to HR professionals, coaches and coaching clients and customers, as well as to ensure compatibility with the professional coaching practice all over the world.
